Twisting Roof

Composition:  Standing off to the side of the pavilion.  With this shot I wanted to capture the twisting roof of the structure.  I would have preferred to take the shot from the other side so that the grill wasn't ruining the symmetrical composition, but there is a porta-potty behind me that I did not want in the shot.

Composition:  Looking up at the stabilizing joint for the polygal roof.  I like how the stabilizer is separated from the wood so that additional details can be seen.

Lakeside Grill

Composition:  The grill site off to the side of the main pavilion.  Unlike typical park grills, the base is solid concrete and the grill is more like a frying pan than a grill.
Process:  I used the dodge tool to increase the contrast between the gradation of light on the grill.

Column Detail

Composition:  A zoom-in on the connection of the wood to steel connection of the column.  I chose to use an image at an angle because the bolt that goes through the wood is in an awkward location and partially covers the gap between the two panels of wood.
