Building: Beardshear
Location: Ames, IA
Time: 4:32pm November 1
Composition: Looking on access with the stairs. I relied on the diffused light from the stained glass to light the scene. The photo allows you to see what is below and in front of the camera. The stained glass also gives a cool color to a building that is often flooded with bright yellow lights.
Process: I bracketed this shot with -2,0, & +2 shutter speed. This allowed me to remove a majority of the yellow light from the round spheres. After HDRing the three images together, I used a soft eraser to bring out the details in the ceiling, stained glass, and floor opening.
